Police arrest fourth suspect in north Charlotte homicide

CHARLOTTE — According to a release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, detectives have arrested a fourth suspect in the murder of Terrance Johnson. The murder happened on the 4500 block of Wynbrook Way last month.

Orlando Rashad Thomas, 26, was arrested by officers on Saturday night for an unrelated charge.  He was transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives regarding Johnson's murder.

During the course of the interview, police said detectives determined that Thomas was involved in the murder of Johnson. After the interview, police charged Thomas with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He was taken to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office where he will remain in custody.

Police said on Saturday that they had arrested three suspects in Johnson's murder.
