GRANITE FALLS, N.C. — Granite Quarry Elementary School went under lockdown Tuesday.
Police received a disturbing phone call that caused concern for students' safety, placing the school under a high-severity lockdown.
One person was committed to a mental institution after the incident, police said.
No one was charged.
