• Police: Drunk driver crashed into south Charlotte house

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police said a drunk driver crashed into a south Charlotte house and knocked out the power there overnight.

    According to officers, the driver was drunk when he crashed into a power pole and then into a yard on Londonderry Road near Tyvola Road around 2:15 a.m.

    The car ran into a porch and then a fence before stopping.

    Three people were in the house but none of them were hurt.

    Police have not released the driver's name.
