Police investigating after gunfire erupts at Kannapolis party

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting during a Kannapolis party Saturday night.

Officials told Channel 9 more than 200 teens were at Village Park on West C Street in Kannapolis when a fight broke out, along with gunfire.

The park is right next to a YMCA and in the middle of a neighborhood, but no one was hurt.

Channel 9 is asking police what started the fight and if anyone was arrested in connection with the shooting.
