Police charge woman after man found shot, killed in west Charlotte

Police investigating second homicide in less than 12 hours in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested a woman accused of shooting and killing a man in west Charlotte early Friday morning.

Officers have charged 38-year-old Rsheena White for the murder of 42-year-old David Sanders.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. near Rozzelles Ferry Road.

When officers got to the area, they found Sanders with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives responded and interviewed several people who were there at the time of the shooting. They said they identified White as a possible suspect and transported her to police headquarters, where she was interviewed.

Followed her interview, she was charged with murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Authorities did not say what led up to the shooting, but they did say early information indicates it was a domestic incident and that Sanders and White knew each other.
