Police: SC college student shot, killed at student housing complex

CONWAY, S.C. — A South Carolina college student was shot and killed at a student housing complex.

Dorms at Coastal Carolina University near Myrtle Beach remained on lockdown through the night, but classes will go on as scheduled Wednesday.

Police are still looking for the person who they said killed Anthony Liddell, 19, who is from Bennettsville, S.C.

"I just saw someone laying there. I didn't know what to think. I was just scared. I still am. My voice is shaking because I'm still scared," said student Katrina Sheleski.

Officials do not believe there is a threat to students or staff.

There will be extra counseling on campus Wednesday.
