CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for the person who shot one person Monday night at the Sunset Inn on Equipment Drive. The inn is off Interstate 85 and West Sugar Creek Road.
Medic said the victim has life-threatening injuries.
Channel 9 has reported on several other crimes at the motel.
In 2012, the inn's manager said he shot a man in self-defense after two men attacked him.

Police said a surveillance video shows the attack.
In 2011, a SWAT team arrested a man after a standoff at his house.
Police said he sexually assaulted two women at the motel, but the district attorney dropped the charges, saying the victims' stories were inconsistent.
