CHARLOTTE — Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will not play in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Eagles said Hurts has a blood clot in his calf after taking a cleat to it during the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 4.

Eagles backup quarterback Tanner McKee will likely take his place Sunday against the Panthers.
