PINEVILLE, N.C. — Families came together to celebrate and honor their fertility journeys.
Reproductive Specialists of the Carolinas hosted its first baby reunion in Pineville Saturday.
It brings together families that the practice helped overcome infertility challenges.
The World Health Organization reports about 1 in 6 people of reproductive age are impacted by infertility.
One doctor tells Channel 9 fertility journeys can be time consuming, take an emotional toll and become an expected expense.
“I am so humbled, and I am so grateful that all of these patients have let me participate in their care and it’s just emotionally overwhelming,” said Dr. Matrika Johnson with Reproductive Specialists of the Carolinas.
The practice hopes to continue the tradition in the years to come.
