Charlotte private equity firm Axum Capital Partners acquired Back Yard Burgers almost three years ago, with hope of revitalizing it. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
“We’re excited about bringing something back to the fans they truly enjoyed. This is a new and improved version of it,” says Muhsin Muhammad, Axum co-founder and former Carolina Panthers player.
Muhammad talked with CBJ about what appealed to him about the brand, what’s new and what to expect as it expands.
