CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A major road in Charlotte will be shut down for most of Saturday due to Duke Energy making repairs, police said.
A few blocks are closed in both directions on Central Avenue near Westover Street in Plaza Midwood.
Officials said the repairs will take several hours.
The reason for the damaged utility equipment is unknown at this point.
Drivers can use Commonwealth Avenue to get around the closure.
