CHARLOTTE — Two major road projects could impact your commute in the days ahead.
Traffic Team 9’s Mark Taylor noted the first closure will be on Old Dowd Road at Marshall Acres Drive in west Charlotte, right at the railroad tracks, and will be closed from Oct. 12 at 7:30 a.m. until Oct. 14 at 6 a.m.
This closure will take drivers from Old Dowd Road to Sam Wilson to Wilkinson Boulevard.
The second closure is on South Kings Drive southbound between Metrolina Avenue and Pearl Park Way for construction work. They are replacing the curb gutters and sidewalks in the area. This will remain closed through Nov. 11 until about 4 p.m.
Drivers are being asked to use Charlottetown Avenue towards Kenilworth Avenue.
