MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville NASCAR driver and shop owner was arrested Tuesday after deputies in Rowan County said they seized more than a half dozen stolen race cars from his property.
Documents released by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office outlined the items they said Mike Harmon stole from racing competitor Jennifer Jo Cobb.
Deputies said an eyewitness reported Harmon stole the hauler.

When they questioned him about his involvement, he said he knew where the hauler was and would return it by Wednesday, May 14, but he never did.
Deputies arrested him and charged him with felony larceny and breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
The sheriff's office returned Tuesday to Harmon's Mooresville race shop and seized two race cars and one race truck.

They also took four trucks from one of his storage facilities in Catawba County.
When Eyewitness New stopped by his Mooresville shop Wednesday, Channel 9 was told by employees Harmon had just left.
Eyewitness News sent a text message to a phone number found of Harmon's racing website. In response to asking for his availability to talk, a reply came: "As much as I would love to tell the whole deal, I can't. It's a civil matter. The truth will come out in court. Sorry."
Harmon was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
