BOONE, N.C. — Boone-based Samaritan’s Purse just finished setting up two treatment centers for the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
These centers are field hospitals with 40 beds for patients.
One opened Sunday, the other will start treating patients Monday morning.
Samaritan’s Purse has a 65-member team in the area to help with response.
They also brought protective equipment for health workers to use.
