COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Social Services launched the Child Care Scholarship Program Dashboard.
The new online portal allows families, child care providers and community partners to view program data directly without filing report requests, said officials with the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
The online system centralizes information regarding the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program, which receives both state and federal funding. The platform includes county-by-county data comparisons to track how funding is used across the state.
The dashboard tracks several specific metrics, including scholarship enrollment trends, demographic details and monthly payment distributions. Users can also review provider participation levels and overall application activity, officials said.
Tony Catone serves as the DSS state director. Catone stated the system outlines how resources are deployed for families across South Carolina.
“The launch of the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program Dashboard reflects our agency’s commitment to giving families, providers and communities clear, accessible information about the programs that support them,” Catone said in a news release. “This new tool makes it easier to understand how the South Carolina Child Care Scholarship Program operates, demonstrates the high demand of the program, as well as how resources are deployed across our state for families utilizing the program to help pay for child care services.”
