Meck County sheriff discusses changes at jail to keep COVID-19 out

CHARLOTTE — There are more than 1,400 inmates in the Mecklenburg County Jail, and Sheriff Garry McFadden is working hard to stop COVID-19 from getting into the detention center.

"We are gonna take the necessary precautions,” he said. “Put them in isolation -- have the nurse look at them and observe them for a while."
