Silver Alert issued for missing Hickory woman believed to have dementia

HICKORY, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 20-year-old woman from Hickory.

Officials said Brooke Stephens is believed to be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment.

Stephens is described as having long, brown hair with brown eyes, weighs about 120 pounds and is around 5 feet 4 inches tall.

She was last seen wearing a dark colored tank top and jeans near 911 4th Avenue NW in Hickory.

Authorities said they do not know where she may be headed.
