South Charlotte estate, luxury uptown condo among county's priciest home sales

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An estate in south Charlotte, a luxury condominium in uptown, a 100-year-old home in Myers Park and a newly built residence in Foxcroft were among the priciest residential sales recorded in Mecklenburg County in October. Those residences all sold for at least $3 million — including one that traded for more than $4.2 million.

The south Charlotte estate — located in the Carmel Park neighborhood, near the intersection of Carmel and Fairview roads — carried the highest price tag, selling for $4.23 million in early October. The nearly 2.4-acre lot includes a 9,705-square-foot home, ample outdoor entertainment space that has a kitchen, dining areas and a wood-burning fireplace, and a separate pool house with a sauna, steam shower and exercise room, according to its listing.

Another residence — a 6,491-square-foot condo at The Trust in Second Ward — also neared the $4 million price point when it sold last month. That unit, which includes three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and two terraces, sold for $3.9 million in early October. The Trust, located at the corner of South Tryon Street and East Fourth Street in uptown, houses seven luxury condos — and has been home to several celebrities.

And the 7,127-square-foot home on Roswell Avenue in Myers Park, built in 1919, sold for $3.25 million, while the newly built 5,815-square-foot residence on Pelham Lane in Foxcroft sold for $3 million.

These properties registered among the county’s 10 most-expensive single-family homes and condos that sold in October. The other six homes on last month’s list are found in Myers Park, Eastover, Foxcroft, The Peninsula in Cornelius, Davidson and Cotswold. They ranged in price from $1.875 million to $2.9 million.
