CHARLOTTE — Waymo confirmed to Channel 9 that its driverless cars are now operating autonomously in Charlotte.
That means technology is in control of driving, but they said a specialist is still sitting behind the wheel at this stage.
Waymo also shared that its next phase will be autonomous operations for employees before welcoming riders.
Channel 9 asked for an official start date for complete autonomous service.
