CHARLOTTE — Harper & Skyler’s Toys & Sweets is targeting an Oct. 1 opening at Park Road Shopping Center.
That specialty toy shop has snapped up a 1,991-square-foot space, next to Snip-Its.

Owner Dan Weiss says that concept — named after his children — will sell toys for newborns up to tweens. He’s currently working to curate that mix of trendy and unique offerings, including working with local vendors.
“My goal is not to carry the Mattels and Hasbros of the world,” Weiss says. “I’m looking to give you a different type of service and that atmosphere of having fun. I want to be a little bit more unique.”
