Stun gun found in student's backpack at high school

KANNAPOLIS — Kannapolis police are investigating after a weapon was brought to A.L. Brown High School.

Police said a small stun gun with a flashlight was found in a student's book bag.

The student will likely have a long-term suspension, according to Kannapolis City Schools.

Officials do not believe the student was going to use the weapon.

No charges have been filed.
