State troopers had Highway 200 blocked at Neill Road, just north of Lancaster, while they investigated the head-on wreck, which happened just before 8:30 a.m.
Officials said five people were injured after the two-vehicle crash. Four people were airlifted to the hospital.
Tim Bowers lives just down the road from where this wreck happened along Highway 200.
As soon as he heard the noise, he drove over to see if everyone was OK.
"One was totally off the road and the other, the front end was off the road," he said.
Troopers shut down part of Highway 200 for several hours while they investigated. Bowers said after seeing the damage to the trucks, he's thankful nobody was killed.
"The vehicles were in bad shape considering they were full size pickups I kind of shudder to thin what ti would have been if it had been a pickup and a smaller vehicle," Bowers said.
Troopers are still investigating exactly what caused the crash.
