CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Tuition could increase for students attending University of North Carolina System schools across the state.
According to our partners at The Charlotte Observer, the UNC system will allow its campuses to propose tuition increases of up to 3% for in-state undergraduate students.
It would mark the system’s second consecutive year of tuition increases, according to The Charlotte Observer.
Students could see higher tuition costs beginning in the 2027-28 school year if an increase is proposed and approved.
Individual campuses would still need to go through the proposal and approval process before any tuition hike takes effect.
