Video shows man getting haircut inside Rock Hill Burger King

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A video surfaced of a man cutting another man's hair in the middle of a Rock Hill Burger King.

It happened feet away from families eating.

Erin Gladden, the woman who recorded the video on her phone, told Channel 9 it was lunch time Sunday at a Burger King on Saluda Road in Rock Hill.

Gladden said she overheard a conversation between the barber and an employee before she started recording.

"He said something about the wind outside blowing or something," Gladden said. "She said, 'OK. Don't make this a habit.' And he grabbed six to 10 napkins out of the napkin thing and went over to the older gentleman, tucked them in his collar and started cutting his hair."

There's no word if the barber or man getting his hair cut works at the restaurant or if they're both customers.

Gladden said she didn't want to make a scene by complaining and immediately left with her two kids. She said another family did too.

Gladden said she was particularly bothered by employees that acted like it wasn't a big deal.

"What level did they think that would be OK with anybody," she said.

On the drive-thru window at the Burger King, Channel 9 could see an "A" score from the health department.

The manager at the Burger King referred Channel 9 to the corporate media relations team.

A Burger King representative emailed Channel 9's Liz Foster and confirmed there was a haircut in the dining area and the "restaurant has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized."
