HORRY COUNTY, N.C. — A Horry County man is asking for prayers after his wife suffered a cardiac arrest early Sunday morning, ABC affiliate WPDE reported.

Andrew and Alexis Prue were in Jacksonville, Florida, for a Tennessee Titans game, sharing photos of the outing hours before being hospitalized.

“They put her on the stretcher, and she looked at me and she said, ‘Andrew, I love you so much. I think I’m going to die.’ I said ‘no you’re not. We’re gonna make it through it,’” Andrew Prue, of Grand Strand, recalled.

The parents of 15-month-old India are asking the community for prayer and support. Alexis Prue’s heart stopped beating for three minutes before she was resuscitated.

Since then, Andrew Prue has been sharing updates on social media.

On Tuesday morning, he tweeted: “The doctors just informed me that her seizures have stopped. The next step is to slowly take her off medication and wake this beautiful woman up. Please continue to pray, as we continue on the road to recovery.”

Titans quarterback Josh Dobbs shared Andrew Prue’s tweet joining the chain of support for the young couple.

Dobbs said “Praying for all of you @AndrewJAPrue! We know that our God is a powerful healer; so we pray for a miraculous healing for Alexis today.”

Andrew Prue is looking to the power of prayer and many have sent hope his way.

His family and friends have set up a Gofundme account.
