The Mount Holly City Council wants to move its museum in downtown a short distance away to the City Hall, which volunteers say can only hold half of the museum’s more than 3,000 artifacts.
The volunteers at the museum said its proposed relocation could disrupt the amount of visitors who go inside to view military, school and other historical items.
“The museum will die,” said Camille Jessen, a volunteer at the Mount Holly Historical Society.
At the video at the top of this webpage, Channel 9 speaks with volunteers who will get a chance to convince city leaders that moving the museum three-tenths of a mile away could be too far.
