WAXHAW, N.C. — Around 7:15 a.m. on April 1, Waxhaw narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Ridgehaven Road as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Officers arrested 29‑year‑old Jaquavion Dermar Moore and charged him with multiple drug‑related offenses, possession of a stolen vehicle, and destruction of evidence.
Moore is being held in the Union County Jail without bond due to an existing charge in Mecklenburg County.
Police Chief Dexter Wilson said the operation was conducted with a strong focus on neighborhood safety and emphasized the department’s commitment to keeping illegal drugs out of the community.
Authorities noted the operation was targeted and posed no danger to the public.
