Where Chipotle is looking to put its next Charlotte restaurant

CHARLOTTE — Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. appears to be headed to the Montford area along Park Road. The fast-casual restaurant chain has filed a rezoning application for 4336 Park Road with the city of Charlotte.

That 0.86-acre site was previously occupied by a gas station, which has been demolished. It is owned by Florida-based National Retail Properties.

Details about the Park Road location were not available, but Chipotle has been focused on expanding restaurants with a “Chipotlane” — the brand’s drive-thru, pick-up lane for digital orders.
