RALEIGH — A winning Cash 5 lottery ticket worth $1.1 million was sold at a grocery store in Raleigh for Friday’s drawing, N.C. Education Lottery officials said.
The $1 ticket was purchased at the Food Lion located at 9525 Strickland Road in Raleigh after matching all five numbers drawn.
The odds of matching all five numbers in the Cash 5 game are one in 962,598. Following Friday’s winning ticket sale, the jackpot reset to $100,000 for Saturday.
Cash 5 is among six lottery games offered in North Carolina. Players can purchase tickets at retail stores or through Online Play using the lottery’s official website and mobile app.
The ticket holder has 180 days from Friday’s drawing to claim the prize.
