Wow Factor Cakes, a longtime staple for high-end weddings, is up for sale

CHARLOTTE — Wow Factor Cakes owner Lei Christine Garcia is ready to pass the torch.

After seven years at the helm of that high-end bakery in Dilworth, she has listed the business’ lease and assets — from decorating equipment down to its proprietary wedding cake recipes — for sale. The purchase price is $130,000.

Scott Lee with National Restaurant Properties is handling the sale.

Wow Factor Cakes is located in a 1,637-square-foot space in The Courtyard at 2400 Park Road. The bakery has been a fixture on Charlotte’s wedding circuit since 2000. Garcia is just the second owner.

“I want to do justice for this brand,” she says. “I think my expectation is to find the right buyer.”
