McDowell County Grand Jury Indicts Indecent Exposure Suspect, Others

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C.,None — A man with a history of exposing himself will face his charges in McDowell County Superior Court.

On May 9, a grand jury returned 93 true bills of indictment. A grand jury meets behind closed doors to consider if enough evidence is present for a case to be heard in Superior Court.

The panel indicted 45-year-old Alvin Clinton Hollifield of Rolands Chapel Road in Marion on two counts of felony indecent exposure.

Capt. Shanon Smith of the McDowell County Sheriff's Office said, on March 4 and 25, Hollifield stood on his porch either nude or just wearing socks and "exposed himself in a sexual manner" to two separate buses loaded with elementary school kids.

Court records show Hollifield was charged with indecent exposure in November 1996, January 1997, June 2005 and July 2005.

The grand jury also indicted the following people on May 9:

-- Lakken Niccole Bowman, 21, of Earl Lee Road, Nebo, one count each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.

-- Amy Leigh Brown, 35, of Chestnut Oak Forest Drive, Nebo, one count of obtaining property by false pretense.

-- Tony Travis Burleson, 30, of Faith Baptist Church Road, Marion, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

-- Lee Emmitt Charles, 40, of N.C. 226 South, Marion, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

-- John Michael Clark, 31, of High Peak Drive, Nebo, four counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery.

-- Joshua Douglas Duncan, 23, of Harmon Drive, Old Fort, nine counts of breaking into a coin- or currency-operated machine, three counts each of felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering and one count of injury to real property.

-- Terrence Floyd Duncan, 27, of Harmon Drive, Old Fort, nine counts of breaking into a coin- or currency-operated machine, three counts each of felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering and one count of injury to real property.

-- Terry Wayne Evans, 42, of Winston-Salem, one count each of larceny of a motor vehicle, second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault on a female and communicating threats.

-- James Ralph Fitzgerald, 51, of Old Glenwood Road, Marion, one count of malicious conduct by a prisoner.

-- Joseph Francis Fortin, 39, of Hitt Park Drive, Marion, one count of embezzlement.

-- Larry Gene Fox, 37, of Greasy Creek Road, Marion, one count each of obtaining property by false pretense and larceny of a motor vehicle.

-- James Ashton Hobbs, 23, of Palmetto Drive, Marion, one count each of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

-- Olin Bryan Isenhour, 54, of Taylorsville, one count of obtaining property by false pretense.

-- Charles Eric Johnson, 23, of Dusty Hollow Road, Marion, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

-- Toney Wesley Lewis, 20, of Veterans Drive, Marion, one count of possession of stolen goods.

-- Jason Lee Morgan, 34, of Proctors Knob Road, Marion, one count each of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

-- Michael Ray Pope, 27, of Circle Street, Marion, one count of possession of stolen goods.

-- Calvin Jay Revis, 16, of Faith Baptist Church Road, Marion, three counts each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny, two counts each of possession of stolen goods and injury to personal property and one count each of larceny of a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer.

-- Derrick Roberts, 19, of Old Catawba River Road, Old Fort, one count each of breaking and entering a place of worship, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.

-- Michael Sexton, 27, of Roberta Street, Marion, three counts of larceny by employee, two counts each of obtaining property by false pretense and first-degree trespassing and one count of conspiracy to commit larceny.

-- Roger Franklin Shelton, 47, of Pilot Mountain, two counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense.

-- Shannon Ray Storm, 37, of Rocky Point, one count each of obtaining property by false pretense and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense.

-- Christopher Murray Upshaw, 21, of Marion, three counts of child abuse inflicting serious injury.

-- Michael N. Warlick, 33, of Main Street, Old Fort, one count of possession of a weapon by a prisoner.
