RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police say two people were killed in a shooting at a hotel near Crabtree Valley Mall.
Local media outlets report officers responding to gunshots about 5 a.m. Friday at America's Best Value Inn found two bodies. Authorities have not yet identified them.
Police were still at the scene several hours later.
An entrance to the mall was temporarily closed but reopened about 6:30 a.m.
In August, a loud noise caused mass panic at the Raleigh mall. Eight people were injured in the rush to escape reported gunshots. But police found no evidence of any gunfire.
