CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Eyewitness News learned Saturday th\at a boat operator involved in a serious accident on Lake Norman June 25, faces two misdemeanor charges.
Investigators said Dennis Allen was trying to tether boats together when he accidentally ran over 26-year-old Deondra Scott.
Doctors had to amputate Scott's right arm, and said she also suffered a punctured lung.
Scott was listed in critical condition.
Authorities said Allen faces misdemeanor charges of negligent operator of a motorboat and not having enough life jackets.
