GASTONIA, N.C.,None — A woman is accused of breaking into an outbuilding and stealing a generator and also faces child abuse charges.
Police said Sharon Hoyle, 44, of North New Hope Road, took her 8-year-old daughter with her when she stole the generator and a welding shield Tuesday from the outbuilding at 3203 Beaty Road.
The Gaston Gazette reported that Hoyle faces multiple charges, including breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police said the generator and shield are valued at $200.
Hoyle was jailed, with bail set at $25,000.
