Omar Delaney, of Fircrest, was arrested April 20 on three counts of sexual assault and one count of lewdness, according to Clark County court records. He was released the next day after posting $10,000 bail.

According to an arrest report, Delaney, the bride and other wedding guests went out on the evening of April 19 to explore the Las Vegas Strip, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The victim told police she drank three shots of vodka that night before heading to her hotel room at the Luxor at about 11 p.m., the newspaper reported. The victim told police she felt “tipsy” but remained conscious and never felt out of control.

According to the arrest report, Delaney helped the woman to her room but entered uninvited and began making sexual advances, KLAS reported.

“I don’t like it,” the victim allegedly told Delaney, the television station reported.

Delaney left the room but apparently took the key. He returned moments later and said he had forgotten his glasses, using the key to enter the room, KVVU reported.

According to the police report, Delaney offered to help the woman get ready for bed and performed a sex act on her, the television station reported.

Delaney left but then returned a few minutes later, climbed on top of the victim and allegedly raped her, the Review-Journal reported.

As he left, Delaney reportedly told the victim that the interaction would be “our little secret,” KVVU reported.

Police later found the key in Delaney’s room and determined it had been used at 12:21 a.m., 12:38 a.m., 1 a.m. and twice at 1:29 a.m., the Review-Journal reported. Delaney told detectives he did not wish to speak to them until he had consulted an attorney, the newspaper reported.

Delaney was arrested later that morning.

He is scheduled to appear in court on July 26, KVVU reported.
