HOUSTON — An industrial explosion that killed two people at a northwest Houston machine shop Friday impacted several businesses in the area, including a dealer who restores Corvettes.

Gordon Andrus said two of the buildings he owns were flattened, trapping the automobiles. Andrus said the buildings and its contents more than $1 million in damage, according to KTRK.

“Mine are flattened. It’s sitting there with about a million dollars in cars right now," Andrus told the television station. "We restore old Corvettes, and it’s full of what used to be really nice cars,”

Andrus said no one was inside his buildings when the explosions happened, KTRK reported.
