New York City police told WPIX that since January, at least three women have been targeted by a man who has stolen a single shoe from them.

Police told WABC that the first incident happened on Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. in Brooklyn, when the man allegedly followed a woman and took her right shoe.

On Feb. 9, police said the same man followed a woman inside a Brooklyn subway station and took her left Nike sneaker, WNBC reported.

The most recent theft was on May 24, when the suspect allegedly took the left shoe from a woman inside the Rego Center in Queens, police told WNBC.

Police released a photo of the suspect Thursday, hoping someone will recognize him, WPIX reported.

Police told WNBC that each of the victims is 24 years old.
