Parts of Ballantyne Commons Parkway will be closed from Labor Day through Friday, September 7th due to "security measures" related to the Democratic National Convention. The closure will occur in two stages:
- Westbound Ballantyne Commons Parkway will be closed between North Community House Rd. and Johnston Rd. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 3rd through noon on Friday, September 7th.
- Eastbound Ballantyne Commons Parkway will be closed between Johnston Rd. and North Community House Rd. beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5th through noon on Friday, September 7th.
Commuters should use I-485 as an alternate route between Rea Rd. and Johnston Rd. Local traffic should use Elm Ln. (right) to Endhaven Ln. (left) to Johnston Rd. (left) as an alternate route traveling eastbound. Westbound local traffic should use Johnston Rd. (left) to North Community House Rd. (right, just past I-485) to Endhaven Ln. (bear left) to Elm Ln. (right) as an alternate route.
