CHARLOTTE — ABOVE: The latest forecast update from Severe Weather Center 9. To stay on top of changing weather conditions, be sure to download our free WSOC-TV weather app.
- Our incredible fall weather continues across the Carolinas over the next few days.
- Highs will stay in the 70s today and Thursday before a weak cold front moves through on Friday, bringing cooler temperatures into the 60s for the weekend.
- The good news? This is a dry cold front, so we’re not expecting any rain to disrupt your weekend plans. You’ll just want to grab an extra layer as cooler air settles in.
- Looking beyond the weekend, the dry weather pattern shows no signs of letting up. We’re expecting little to no rainfall across the Carolinas over the next 7 to 10 days.
- As these dry conditions continue, we’ll be keeping a close eye on fire danger. Dry vegetation and a lack of rainfall can increase the risk of fires, so be cautious with outdoor burning and anything that could spark a fire.
- For now, enjoy the sunshine and fantastic fall temperatures while they last.
