- The heat is building back into Charlotte, with temperatures returning to the 90s Wednesday and humidity gradually increasing.
- Humidity will really ramp up Friday, with heat index values reaching the mid-90s by the time high school football gets underway.
- Rain chances will also increase by Friday, with the best opportunity for showers and storms coming Saturday afternoon.
- The Panthers’ home opener is trending drier, but a shower can’t be completely ruled out. It will be muggy around kickoff, with temperatures near 90 degrees.
