FORECAST:
- Hotter and more humid conditions are moving into the Charlotte area this weekend, with temperatures climbing into the 90s and the heat index approaching the upper 90s.
- Rain chances will remain limited for most of the Charlotte area, with the best opportunities for showers and storms staying mainly in the mountains and areas west of Charlotte.
- The heat will continue to build into next week, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-to-upper 90s by Tuesday.
- The combination of high temperatures and increasing humidity will make conditions feel even hotter, especially during the afternoon.
