WILMINGTON, N.C. — The National Weather Service in Wilmington confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down Thursday in the Landfall/ Middle Sound Loop area of Wilmington.
There have been no reports of injuries, according to the Associated Press.
For the Charlotte area, expect possible showers Thursday night. The severe threat is low.
