‘Art of Banksy’ exhibition to open in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some consider him a prankster, while others hail him as an artistic genius, and despite no one knowing his identity, his work has sold for millions.

Famous British street artist Banksy is known for his work with stenciling and pieces such as “Girl and Balloon” and “Flower Thrower.” Soon, an exhibition featuring his art will be on display in Charlotte.

“The Art of Banksy: Without Limits” opens Feb. 25 at Silver Hammer Studios at the AvidXchange Music Factory. The show features more than 155 pieces, including prints, photos, sculptures, installations and murals — some of which were reproduced specifically for the exhibition.

Ticket prices start at $27.20 for adults. Lower-priced tickets are available for seniors, students (ages 13-26), members of the military, and children ages 4-12.

According to the event’s website, the show takes 60 to 90 minutes to view.
