CONCORD, N.C. — For the twelfth year, Charlotte Motor Speedway will shine brightly for the holidays during its annual Christmas light show.
The drive-thru show features more than 4 million twinkling lights along a 4-mile course around the iconic speedway, creating more than 800 individual displays, including some more than 80-feet tall — that’s eight stories high! Many of the lights will be synchronized to Christmas music that guests can listen to on their car radio as they wind through the show.
In addition, the Christmas Village is back this year after skipping 2020 because of COVID-19 concerns. Visitors can get out of their cars and enjoy holiday activities including photos with Santa, making s’mores by the fire and shopping for gifts by local crafters that will be on site. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. The Christmas Village will be open every Thursday through Sunday night and throughout the week of Christmas.
Also on those nights, guests can enjoy a variety of popular drive-in Christmas movies from “Elf” and “Christmas Vacation” to “The Grinch” and “A Christmas Story,” on the 16,000-square-foot Speedway TV. See the complete schedule below.
Speedway Christmas will be open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 19 through Jan. 16, with the exception of a few private bookings and Christmas Eve.
Tickets are sold per vehicle, starting at $30 every Monday through Wednesday night and $40 Thursday through Sunday. Fast passes are also available for $70, which allow guests to skip the lines on busier nights.
Tickets can be purchased online at charlottemotorspeedway.com or at the gate.
