Interactive light displays will return to South End

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — South End is set to glow again when the I Heart Rail Trail “Lights” returns March 4-20.

The displays, which will be created by artists from both Carolinas, will feature never-before-seen interactive light installations that will span from Carson Blvd. to Atherton Mill.

As part of the experience, there will also be music and performers along the route.

Specific locations for the installations will be announced at a later date.

Gallery owner Lauren Harkey is collaborating with Charlotte Center City Partners on the project.
