Registration for MLK Parade in Charlotte open through Dec. 7

Registration for participants in the Atrium Health 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade is open through Dec. 7, 2018.   
A Charlotte tradition since 1981, the MLK Parade in Uptown Charlotte includes more than 100 community organizations, marching bands, floats and dance performers. Approximately 21,000 people attended the parade in 2018.
Join the WSOC-TV Eyewitness News team and thousands of participants and observers for the MLK Parade on Jan. 19 from 10a.m.to noon on Tryon Street from 9th St. to Stonewall St.
The city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, through their Community Relations Committee, have come together to expand our community's observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day through the Charlotte-Mecklenburg MLK National Holiday Celebration.
Through honorable events held between Jan.15-21, the community will celebrate those who are committed to carrying King's legacy forward from generation to generation. ​​
