LANCASTER, S.C.,None — Two people were airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center after an accident in Lancaster.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 521 and North Shelley Mullis Road.
A woman driving an SUV southbound on 521 hit a car that was pulling out of a grocery store parking lot, officials said. The driver and a passenger in the car were taken to CMC for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not seriously hurt.
