CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A North Carolina man has been arrested and charged with shooting and killing his mother during an argument.
Police said a teenager called for help after his grandmother, 63-year-old Ada Adams, was shot late Thursday morning at a home on Montana Drive.
Adams was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where she later died.
Police have charged her son, 32-year-old John Lee Adams, Jr., with murder.
Investigators said the shooting came during an ongoing custody dispute over John Adams' son, who called police after the shooting.
Officers said they found a gun at the scene.
