CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Struggling homeowners behind on their mortgage payments can now meet face-to-face with their lender.
Chase Bank officially opened their home ownership center Tuesday. The office lets Chase customers restructure their mortgages through the bank or the federal modification program.
Chase officials said they want to help homeowners stay in their homes. The bank said foreclosure is a last resort.
Bank of America plans to open a similar center later this year.
