Linzi Sheldon

None — Linzi Sheldon joined Channel 9 Eyewitness News in September 2010 as a reporter for Channel 9 Eyewitness News Daybreak at 5 & 6 a.m. and Eyewitness News This Morning on TV64 at 7 & 8 a.m. Before joining the news team of WSOC-TV/WAXN-TV, she was a reporter at WHEC News 10 NBC in Rochester, N.Y.

During her time with WHEC-TV, Linzi covered a deadly shooting rampage in Binghamton, New York, where a gunman shot and killed 13 people and held several others hostage. She also reported on severe snowstorms, several high-profile murder trials in the Rochester area, and was part of her station's team coverage in the days after Continental Airlines Flight 3407 crashed in Clarence Center, N.Y. Linzi was responsible for running the station's Finger Lakes Bureau, which covered the five counties outside of Rochester. She enterprised and reported news stories for the communities in this bureau.

Linzi graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor's Degree in English. She earned a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Linzi is excited to be living in Charlotte and is looking forward to warmer winters!
